Revolutionary War

This is a fun one for our history loving Family

What is your favorite story from the American revolution? OR
Who is your favorite hero of the American Revolution?

As an addition to this challenge if you have the History channel or WB30 (Sun morn) Have your kids watch Liberty Kids. My kids love this show. It has a lot of Revolutionary War History. My kids discovered it and showed me so I don't have to push them into watching it.

My favorite heroes of the revolutionary war are Johnny Tremain and Francis Marion. My kids love Liberty Kids too. They watch it every morning before they go to school. Hayden and Shelby used to watch in the afternoons on PBS when they were little. I was sad when it left PBS, but glad we found it again. I was also going to tell you with the sign language that you can go to the church's website to the music section and click sign language for the songs and you can learn songs in sign language. Our primary is doing I love to the see the temple in sign language for the program and it is so fun!!

My heroes are a group of women who it is told snuck guns in quilting frames--past British troups--in order for our men to have guns. I read about it once--I am not sure whether or not it is fact--but I am sure women did more than we know to further the cause of freedom.

One of my heroes is Martha Washington. She went to the battlefield to try to make a comfortable place for George. She spent the winters at Valley Forge with the troops in the cold and the mud. Also I have always admired John Hancock who boldly signed the decloration of independece in large letters knowing that he would become a wanted man by doing so.
