Awesome News

Well on the first of this month Baby K's parents decided to sign over all there parental rights. It was an extremely difficult day for them. As her mom answered each question she was in tears. It was very hard to see. I know how hard it must have been and I am very grateful that have made the decision they have for their daughter.

Consequently our names have been put in for her adoption and we will be at court on April 25 for her adoption. It is at 2 pm in Richfield for anyone who wants to attend they said we could have anyone we want.

The kids are so excited. They act like Christmas is coming again. In fact when we took the paperwork over to the DCFS office when we pulled in Brook threw her hands over her mouth and screamed, "Oh, the Adoption." and started to clap her hands. It was adorable. She was disappointed when we said not yet. It may be a long few months because we go to Richfield every other week or so.

We have decided to have her sealed to us on June 9 at the Vernal Temple. May was horribly busy and we wanted a little leeway in case there are any complications. Any one who wants to be there is welcome to attend. The kids are so excited about this. They are the reason we are going to Vernal. They want to go to a temple they have not been to. We had a big debate between Vernal and Monticello. I didn't know they would all be allowed into the temple for the sealing until recently. The news was super exciting to them as well. We are so excited for everything and can't wait till it happens.

Congrats, Amber (& family)!! I know from experience that witnessing parents sign over their rights is a bittersweet event. On the sweet end, I am so happy for your official family addition! - Joye (I'm putting my comment with the correct post!)
