We have had our little girl for a year now and it has been amazing. She is a light in our life and has grown and changed so much. She is starting to get the toddler look and personality instead of her baby one. We all have been busy here with everything that life entails.
Anthony in 7th grade is busy reading and listening to music nonstop.
Paul in 6th is busy with his friends and video games and they both LOVE scouts.
Bri is turning into a preteen attitude and all but is still my sweet 4th grade helper.
Brook is busy with preschool and loves it. Her other favorite activity is bike riding.
Nate is still working hard at the Prison and national guard. He is currently with his unit in Korea for 3 weeks. He needs to reenlist in Aug. It is a hard choice for us because he only has a few years left till retirement from the military and all the benefits that entails. Yet we do not want to do another deployment it was just to hard on all of us, especially Nate.
I have been busy with Home life and church and preschool and foster care appointments.
We are almost to our adoption date and getting excited. We got 2 calls this week. One to take 2 girls just for 3 days while the foster family went on vacation but after rearranging rooms and everything we got a call, literally right before they were supposed to be here, saying never mind they had a change in plans. But we left the bed up because we also got a call about a cute girl who needs a home. She has suffered a lot of trauma and so they have her in another home right now while they evaluate the situation. They said we will be getting her home sometime in the next few weeks if no family members step up to take her. Brook is so excited because their birthdays are close so she says they are going to be twins. It's super cute because all day long she talks about what they are going to do when she gets here, and gets her room all ready.
One other exciting thing. Nate installed a wood stove in our living room with the help of his brother. There is nothing like a nice warm fire. I LOVE IT.
